GRAND MEADOW — The Grand Meadow football team opened its season up with a 47-30 win over Lyle-Pacelli in GM Friday.
The Superlarks (1-0 overall, 1-0 SEC) led 33-0 at the half before they pulled their starters as Landon Jacobson ran for 76 yards and a touchdown.
LP (0-1 overall, 0-1 SEC) was led by Daniel Bollingberg, who ran for 193 yards and two touchdowns.
“Grand Meadow has a class program that has a lot of tradition and they continue to do a lot of things the right way,” LP head coach Reid Olson said. “We struggled with their physicality in the first half.”
LP had just 13 players suit up in the loss and Olson was glad that they stayed healthy for the most part.
