Austin High School Activities Director Lisa Quednow-Bicker announced the hiring of Chris Gogolewski as Austin High School’s new head baseball coach Tuesday.

Gogolewski was a baseball standout when he went to high school in Wisconsin and he went to Saint Mary’s University. After his time there, he was drafted with the Texas Rangers organization. Upon completion of his baseball career, Gogolewski was hired in the Austin School District as a teacher. He coached with the Packers under head coach Jerry Miller.

Gogolewski has been a teacher in the Austin Public School district for 16 years and is currently a second grade teacher at Sumner Elementary. Most recently, he has been the Austin head boys golf coach for the past three seasons, and is currently an assistant volleyball coach.
