Blossoms sweep Medford as Hagen sets school record

BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The Awesome Blossoms avenged an earlier loss to Medford as the swept the Tigers (3-3 overall) by scores of 26-24, 25-22, 25-21 in BP Thursday.
BP middle hitter Taylor Hagen, who poured in 21 kills, set a new BP school record with eight ace blocks in a match. Hagen had previously shared the record with Kassie Lueth and Marie Morem.
“We didn’t feel like our first game against Medford really reflected our potential as a team,” BP head coach Gina McLaughlin said. “Tonight we feel much better about how we played and how we carried ourselves. We were more aggressive and played a fun, energetic match from start to finish.”
Lizz Willert had 22 digs for BP (7-2 overall, 2-0 Gopher) and Nicole Inwards had 28 digs.
