The Austin City Council will examine a proposed $100 million capital improvement plan for the city of Austin during its work session Monday.

The city’s annual update of its 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan calls for $100,022,000 to be spent on city improvements from 2014 to 2018. Those improvements include upgrades to the city’s wastewater treatment plant, new police cars, city trail work and more.

The council will also hear from residents at its new Conversations with the Council meeting time. Residents can informally meet with council members starting at 5 p.m. at City Hall until the council’s 5:30 p.m. public meeting starts. Council members have welcomed the change in time as more members can talk to the public.
