Marjorie Ann Mudra, 82, of Austin, formerly of Glenville, Minn., died at the Cedars Tuesday morning, Sept. 17, 2013.

She was born May 22, 1931 to Melvin and Ethel (Flemming) Bringsjord in Stacyville, Iowa. A 1949 graduate of Austin High School, Marjorie married Kenneth F. Mudra on Jan. 23, 1954, at First United Methodist Church in Austin. They made their home on the Mudra family farm near Glenville where they raised two children. A member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Myrtle and the Lyle American Legion Auxiliary, Marjorie enjoyed traveling, knitting, gardening, and following her grandkids’ activities. Kenneth died on Nov. 9, 2008. Marjorie moved into Austin in 2013.

Survivors include one son, Alfred Anthony “Tony” Mudra of Glenville; a daughter, Ann Marie (Gary) Korbel of Prior Lake; six grandchildren, Jennifer Mudra (Walter Jensen), Laura (Ryang) Kim, Louise (Brian) Yale, John Mudra, Helen Korbel and Kendra Korbel; her sister Arlene Hueman of Austin; nieces Kathy (Rick) Johnson and Karen (Mike) Vaith, both of Austin, and Julie Schmidt of Burnsville. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Ethel Bringsjord, her husband Kenneth Mudra, and her aunt Edna Flemming.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Myrtle with Reverend Ronald Myers and Reverend Lydia Mittag  officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment is at London Cemetery.
