A car was heavily damaged over the weekend went it went up in flames at a Mower County campground.

According to the Mower County Sheriff’s report, the owner reported her 2005 Chrysler 300 was on fire at Deer Creek Campground near Racine at about 5 p.m. Saturday. The woman said she was in the car just 15 to 30 minutes prior and that the fire originated in the trunk. Grand Meadow Fire Department, Police Department and Mower County deputies responded and extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire was not determined in the report.
