Holly Reiter, daughter of Craig and Cathy Reiter of Elgin, Minn., and Scott Long, son of Diane and the late Scott Long Sr. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, proudly announce their engagement.

Holly is an Elgin-Millville High School graduate and University of Minnesota graduate with a degree in food science. She works for Hormel Foods.

Scott is a Jefferson High School graduate and Iowa State University graduate with a degree in chemical engineering. He also works at Hormel.

The couple will wed Oct. 12, 2013, in Plainview.
