The Mower County board is about to hear an update on the Mower County Historical Society’s efforts to make room for new materials.
During the board’s Tuesday morning meeting, Executive Director Dustin Heckman will discuss the Historical Society’s ongoing deaccession: removing items from the collection to narrow its scope and make room for new materials, often through donation to other collections. The project started about a year ago and could last several years, officials have said.
In other business, Community Health will identify the top 10 community health issues, and officials will review the 2012 audit.
The meeting starts with Human Services Board at 8:45 a.m. and general business at 9:30 a.m.
