On behalf of the faculty and staff at The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota, I would like to strongly encourage citizens to vote “Yes” on the Nov. 5 ballot in support of Austin Public Schools, a high-quality educational system that continuously proves to be a great asset to our community.

Please remember that a “Yes” vote will not result in higher school levy taxes but rather will continue providing vital funding to keep Austin’s K-12 public education system strong.

Quality education is a critical need for any community, and The Hormel Institute strives throughout the year to connect with students in numerous ways to assist and encourage them in their academic endeavors, especially related to science.

You also can show your support for students and make a positive difference in the lives of Austin’s youth by voting “Yes” on Nov. 5.
