Blooming Prairie’s defense stepped up as the Awesome Blossoms blanked No. 4 Fillmore Central (4-6 overall) 29-0 in the Section 1A football semifinals in BP Saturday.

BP’s Cole Sunde had 143 yards receiving yards and a TD and Jake Decker ran in two TDs in the win.

Ethan Strunk kicked a 26-yard field goal to put the Blossoms on the board in the first quarter.

No. 1 seeded BP (10-0 overall) will play in its sixth straight section title game when it plays No. 3 Faribault Bethlehem Academy (7-3 overall) in RCTC stadium Friday at 8:30 p.m.
