Basketball

Austin grad Connor Gunderson, who is in his senior year at St. Olaf, is the top scorer for the Oles (4-2 overall) this season.

Gunderson is averaging 14.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He is shooting 65 percent from the field.

Hayfield grad Tanner Kramer, who is in his senior year at Wartburg College, is averaging 4.8 points per game for the Knights (2-4 overall). Kramer is shooting 5-for-6 on 3-pointers this season.

Kramer had a season-high 8 points in a 63-59 loss to UW-River Falls Nov. 30.

Hayfield grad Brady Kramer is a freshman at UW-Plateville. He has gotten in just one game and played three minutes for Plateville (5-2 overall)

Grand Meadow grad Jessica Benson is leading St. Cloud State University in scoring (15.5 points per game) and rebounds (9.5 per game). Benson is shooting 48 percent from the field and she’s averaging 2.5 assists per game for the Huskies (5-1 overall).

Southland grad Haley Kirkpatrick is making an impact at Luther College (5-1 overall) in her freshman season with the team. Kirkpatrick is averaging 6.7 points and 5.3 rebounds.

Austin grad Babaye Oja is averaging 12.5 points per game, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game at Iowa Central Community College (8-1 overall).

Swimming and diving

Austin grad Nick Brehmer is a freshman swimmer at UW-La Crosse. He has swam the 50-yard freestyle as fast as 22.47 seconds, the 100-yard freestyle as fast as 49.28 seconds and the 200-yard freestyle as fast as 1:49.65.

Caleb Bentley, now in his sophomore year, is a diver at UW-River Falls. He is the team’s top 1-meter diver with a season’s best score of 197.4 and he is the Falcons’ top 3-meter diver with a season’s best score of 223.85.
