The Austin gymnastics team finished third with a team score of 146.65 at the 16-team Lakeville Invite Saturday.

The meet featured the top two teams in Class ‘A’ – Austin and Melrose – and it also included the top three teams in Class ‘AA’ – No. 1 Northfield, No. 2 Roseville and No. 3 Wayzata.

“We had a good day, not a great day,” Austin head coach Mark Raymond said. “We had a couple of routines that could have pushed us over the 148 mark if they would have hit. It was nice to see that we are about where we need to be at this point in the season.”

Austin senior Sela Fadness took fifth in the all-around, Abby Bickler was seventh and Maddie Mullenbach was 10th.
