AdvisorNet welcomes new employees

AdvisorNet Financial in Austin has added two new employees.
James Eaton joined the staff in January as an independent agent for AdvisorNet, a full-service financial services agency, and Shawn Kuhn became administrative assistant to Charles Moline, of the local AdvisorNet in May of 2013.
Eaton
Eaton, 57, is a native of Chicago and has lived in Austin since 2001. His wife, Lydwina, is a long-time employee of Hormel Foods. His son, Thomas, is currently on active duty with the U.S. Army. Eaton is an served in the U.S. Army, earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication at Bemidji State University and earned a master’s of business administration degree from the University of New Hampshire. Eaton worked as a reporter and editor at several newspapers. His business experience includes Hormel Foods Corp. and the Minneapolis Star Tribune. He holds a full insurance license in Minnesota and Iowa. His Austin practice will focus on retirees and the challenges they face such as retirement income, health and life insurance and preparing for the potential costs of long-term care.
Kuhn
Kuhn is an Austin native and a 1995 Austin High School graduate. She earned an associates degree from Riverland Community College. She lives in Austin with her two daughters, Rylee and Adyson.
Kuhn worked at the Cooperative Response Center in Austin for seven years and at Federated Insurance in Owatonna, where she got her associate’s degree in insurance services and associates in customer service designations. Kuhn has turned from a focus on property and casualty to the life and health industry. Kuhn’s customer service background and insurance knowledge has been a great asset to the growing team at AdvisorNet Financial, located in the lower level of the Town Center.
