The Lyle-Pacelli softball team lost 12-2 in six innings at Glenville-Emmons Friday.

The Athletics (0-2 overall, 0-2 SEC) played the game on short notice as GE’s scheduled opponent dropped out and the LP was called to play instead.

Courtney Walter and Bethany Strouf had the only hits in the loss for LP, which led 2-0 in the first but couldn’t hold on.

“We just couldn’t come up with a timely hit to get more runs,” LP head coach Jeff Yocom said.
