ST. PAUL — Five people at a popular St. Paul Lowertown bar were hurt when a vehicle crashed into the building.

Authorities say the driver was fleeing from law enforcement officers shortly after midnight Friday, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the Bulldog Bar. The Star Tribune says the State Patrol was trying to make a traffic stop related to a driving complaint when the 31-year-old Shoreview man sped away.

The driver and the five others were taken to Regions Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
