Hayfield baseball team splits with Stewartville

The Hayfield baseball team picked up a split in a pair of five-inning games at Stewartville (2-8 overall) Thursday.
The Vikings (7-4 overall) won the first game 7-0 and dropped the nightcap 4-1.
Cam Rutledge pitched a two-hit shutout in the opener.
“Cam pitched amazing,” Hayfield head coach Kasey Krekling said. “He was mixing his pitches well and hitting all of his spots. He really dominated that game.”
