The Hayfield baseball team lost 3-1 at Pine Island Friday.

The Vikings (7-5 overall) had a solid effort from their No. 4 and No. 5 pitchers, but they managed just three hits against PI’s ace.

“Our pitchers gave us a chance against a very good Pine Island team,” Hayfield head coach Kasey Krekling said.
