Three local companies were recognized as the “Best Places to Work” in Southeast Minnesota last month.
IBI Data, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP and Cooperative Response Center were the three local companies recognized at an annual banquet April 24. A total of 15 companies representing Mower, Freeborn, Rice, Steele, Goodhue, Olmstead, Houston, Dodge, Fillmore and Wabasha Counties were recognized.
The awards program was a commissioned study by Workforce Development Inc. to recognize some of the best employers in the local area and provide vital information to companies about the practices they use to attract and retain employees.
CliftonLarsonAllen is a multi-year winner. The firm reports low turnover and solid growth, and invests in employee training and development. Their “Culture Club” regularly initiates team building events, such as the annual kickball tournament, entertainment at holiday and summer events, and topics for personal and professional development at periodic staff meetings.
IBI Data, a Brownsdale company, has 100 percent staff participation in their Bonus and Profit Sharing Programs, a low turnover rate, an extensive Wellness program and great community involvement/outreach.
CRC, which is headquartered in Austin, was recognized for an employee benefit program, employee growth, percentage of employees promoted, bonus program, annual increases in pay, and its focus on training and wellness.
“I’m really proud of CRC to be able to achieve this honor for a second year while competing with two different size categories of employers,” said Nancy Morrison, CRC’s vice president, human resources development in a press release. “This designation helps CRC meet its goal of being an employer of choice in the area.”
