The Hayfield softball team blanked Lake City (0-14 overall) 14-0 in five innings and it knocked off Cannon Falls (7-3 overall) 9-3 in Lake City Monday.

The win over Cannon Falls saw the Vikings (12-2 overall) hit three home runs. Dani Wagner hit home runs in her first two at-bats and Grace Mindrup blasted a grand slam that saw the Vikings score seven runs and snap a 3-3 tie in the sixth inning.

Hayfield sophomore Jackie Sanvick pitched a two-hitter in the win over Lake City.
