Austin musicians are bringing the music of the Everly Brothers and Roy Orbison to Albert Lea.

The DC Drifters will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Albert Lea’s Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, 147 N. Broadway.

Dennis Charnecki of the DC Drifters said the band opened for the Everly Brothers twice decades ago, and he promised a good show.

“It’s going to be very authentic,” he said. “There’s going to be a lot of surprises in there.”

The band could play some Tina Turner and Marilyn Monroe songs too. They’ll also share some of the history behind the music played Friday.
