ST. PAUL — A chiropractor is charged with sexually assaulting a female patient at his office in St. Paul.

A criminal complaint says 54-year-old Paul David Thompson assaulted the 27-year-old woman during an appointment May 8. Thompson is charged with third- and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The complaint says a Ramsey County sheriff’s investigator set up a call between the woman and Thompson during which Thompson apologized for the assault.
