The Austin Post 91 Legion baseball team couldn’t hold on to its lead as it lost 7-6 to Albert Lea in AL Tuesday.

AL won the game when Parker Mullenbach came up with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Austin (5-5 overall) had led 6-3 after Jacob Kempen hit a two-run homer in the top of the third inning, but AL tied it up at 6-6 with two three runs of it own in the fourth inning.

Austin had just two hits in the last four innings and both of them were by Nik Gasner, who went 4-for-4.

“It was a good overall effort, we just did’nt put together enough good at bats down the stretch,” Austin co-head coach Andy Swank said. “It was a little frustrating losing after having a three run lead. We did’nt put them away and they battled back for the win.”
