Austin soccer teams have successful seasons

The Austin U13-C2 boy’s soccer team finished with a record of 9-1-1 and won its division. The team will now advance to the C1 level next season and will be the first Austin Youth Soccer team to ever compete at that level.The team includes: back row: (left to right): Daniel Vargas, Coach Franco Ortiz, Sam Johnson, Ethan Larson, Kevin Ortiz and Coach Ricky Rodriguez; front row: Makias Anderson, Dominic Gartner, Ben Jacobs, Juan Vera, Andres Garcia Butkowski, Simon Hirst, Henry Hinchcliffe, Zachary Allhiser-Wilking and Muhammad Abubaka. The team's goalie is Victor Mendoza. A few other Austin teams have also had good seasons. The U10 boy’s team 2 finished first with a record of 8-0-2, the U14 boy’s team finished first with a record of 11-0, and the U15 boy’s team finished first with a record of 9-1-1. -- Photo Provided
