Doris Ann Van House, 77, of Austin, Minnesota, died at her home on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.

Doris was born on Nov. 19, 1936, in Freeborn County to Louis and Libbie (Pell) Lukes. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1954.

Doris was united in marriage to John Van House on Feb. 23, 1957. She worked as a secretary at Federated Insurance and at Wilson Foods.

Doris is survived by her three sons, Paul Van House, Beaufort, South Carolina, Mark Van House and Kara Johnston, Toronto, Canada, Wade Van House and Michelle Trombetta, Minnetonka, Minnesota; grandchildren, Mandy Cheatham and Bryce Artukovich; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Caleb Cain.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; two children Gary and Lisa; one great-grandchild Joshua; brother Faye Lukes and sister Mary Cox.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Bohemian National Cemetery with her son the Rev. Mark Van House officiating. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
