The Lyle-Pacelli volleyball team couldn’t quite keep up with the powerhouse of the Southeast Conference in Mabel Tuesday.

The Athletics (1-1 overall, 1-1 SEC) fell to Mabel-Canton (2-0 overall, 2-0 SEC) by scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-14.

LP had trouble returning serves in the loss, which kept them from getting into its offense.

“We struggled a little with getting the ball off the pass and that makes it tough,” LP head coach Lindsay Leif said.
