Four Daughters Vineyard & Winery is inviting area residents to come out and stomp a few grapes.

Four Daughters will host its third annual Grape Stomp Festival Sept. 12-14. Employees say this festival will be their biggest yet, featuring a lineup of new events throughout the weekend including the main draw, Saturday’s grape stomp.

Friday evening’s events include a free showing of “A Walk in the Clouds” on the winery’s big screen at 7 p.m. Special food stations and an outdoor bar will be set up for guests in the tent. The night will also feature a vintage sale from the family’s exclusive collection of reserved wine. A limited amount of previously sold-out vintages will be sold. The Four Daughters winemaker will also hold a vertical tasting class. In the vertical tasting, participants will taste the same varietals and discover with the winemaker how they differ from each other over the past three years. A reservation is required for the class.

On Saturday, the winery will have a free photo booth for guests, as well as DJ Allan Reed playing music throughout the afternoon. The annual grape stomp, which features teams of two going head to head, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Interested participants can call the winery or sign up online. Participants are encouraged to compete for ‘Best Costume’ each year as well.

Free tours will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Free vineyard tour sheets will be on hand throughout the weekend, with grape tasting held in the vineyards. A special wine tasting option will feature this year’s harvest selections.
