ST. PAUL — Police have arrested a St. Paul man who they say advertised a stolen motorcycle on Craigslist.
The 34-year-old man was booked into Ramsey County jail Wednesday on suspicion of auto theft. They say he tried to sell the bike to an undercover officer.
Police say they spotted a listing for the 2003 Yamaha R6 that stated it had no title and no Vehicle Identification Number. The ad’s author said he had never been pulled over.
An officer met the man in a parking lot and asked how he knew the motorcycle wasn’t stolen. The officer arrested the man after he said police had checked out the bike for him. The officer captured him after a short foot chase.
