Mayo Clinic Health System welcomes new doctors

Mayo Clinic Health System – Albert Lea and Austin recently welcomed several providers:

•Dr. Alberto Marcelin, family medicine: Marcelin received his medical degree from American University of Antiqua College of Medicine in Coolidge, Antigua, and completed his residency at the University of Minnesota St. Joseph’s Family Medicine Residency in St. Paul. His professional interests include travel medicine and populations with limited resources. Marcelin also is fluent in French and Creole.

•Dr. David Paz, family medicine: Paz received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. He completed a residency in family medicine at Community Health Network Family Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is board certified in family medicine. His professional interests include diabetes and infertility, and he enjoys caring for infants to geriatric patients. Paz also is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and French.

•Dr. Nisha Bertucci, OB-GYN: Bertucci received her medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, and completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She previously worked as a physician in the academic OB-GYN clinic at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital where she worked with both medical students and residents. Her professional interests include menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding), contraceptive counseling, general obstetrics and patient education. •Dr. Scott Steinmann, orthopedics: Steinmann has been a member of Mayo Clinic’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery for 15 years. He received his medical degree from Cornell University in New York, New York, and completed an orthopedic residency and shoulder and elbow surgery residency at Columbia University in New York, New York.
