ST. PAUL — Experts say cabin close-up time is an ideal opportunity for inspecting boats and water equipment for aquatic invasive species.
The Department of Natural Resources is asking every cabin and lake property owner to carefully inspect for invasive species when removing docks, boat lifts, swim rafts and other equipment from the water.
People should look on the posts, wheels and underwater support bars of docks and lifts, as well as any parts of boats, pontoons and rafts that may have been submerged for extended periods.
