The Lyle-Pacelli is now one win from clinching the SEC West after it swept Hope Lutheran (0-12 overall, 0-12 SEC) by scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-12 in Winona Thursday.

The Athletics (13-9 overall, 10-3 SEC) will now play Randolph in Lyle Monday with a chance to win the West outright.

LP trailed for most of game two against HL, but it eventually tied the game at 22-22 and it held on to win.

“It was a team effort and we had a lot of players diving,” LP head coach Lindsay Leif said. “We came out swinging in the third game.”
