AMC to host loss support group

Austin Medical Center’s Hospice Program will hold a support group for family members who have experienced the death of a loved one, beginning Oct. 9 and continuing to Nov. 13.

The group will meet every Thursday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Hormel Historic Home in the Carriage House, 208 Fourth Ave. N.W., Austin.

It is the goal of the Austin Medical Center Hospice program to provide the highest quality of care and to meet the health care needs of the patient and family.  Services that are provided in the program include hospice care, skilled nursing care, personal care/homemaker services, therapy, pharmacy services, medical social work services, physician directed services, clergy, volunteers and bereavement support.
