Employees at Austin’s Runnings store donated $943 Wednesday to support breast cancer research at The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota as part of the fifth annual Paint the Town Pink initiative.

On Oct. 22, the Austin Runnings hosted its first “Ladies Night” fundraiser as part of the Runnings corporation’s four-state fundraiser at 22 Runnings stores, which raised nearly $12,000 overall to help fight breast cancer. Part of the fundraising involved selling pink 5-gallon buckets from which Runnings donated $1 from each sale.
