Now that Thanksgiving is over and we all got our Christmas shopping done on Black Friday we can concentrate on the next holiday.

This month we have a lot of fun things scheduled that lead us up to Christmas, beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday. Join us for our Christmas open house. Everyone is cordially invited to the Mower County Senior Center for Christmas treats and lots of Christmas spirit.

This is our way of Thanking you for an exciting year of fun and getting you in the holiday spirit. The center’s Stitching Bees and Wood Carvers will be here displaying items they have made through the year. Both groups are always looking for new interested people and both groups are free to attend.

This year Evie’s Travel will have a table displaying trip pictures from this year. Come and look at the fun trips they took and see if you can find yourselves in the pictures. There will be appetizers and hot drinks. Bring a friend.

Don’t forget our coffee shop, where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and a sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday we are serving hamburger stroganoff for only $2. You are always welcome at the center.
