Bruins get past Wilderness in shootout win

The Austin Bruins rattled off their fourth straight win when they edged the Minnesota Wilderness (15-7-3 overall) 2-1 in a shootout in Riverside Arena Saturday.
Trevor Boyd, a forward from Muskegon, Mich., scored fourth goal of the weekend when he netted the tying goal to make it 1-1 early in the period. Boyd now has 11 goals and 13 assists in 26 games.
Boyd also scored the first goal of the shootout to tie it up at 1-1 and Liam Feeney scored the game-winner on Austin’s fourth attempt of the shootout. Austin’s Jake Kielly had 22 saves and he stopped four of the five attempts in the shootout.
With the win, the Bruins (14-7-7 overall) have moved into a first place tie with Minot.
