Southland senior McKenzie Kirtz hit a big milestone as the Rebel girls beat Winona Cotter (2-5 overall, 2-3 Three Rivers) 49-41 in Winona Monday.

Kirtz, a senior, scored her 1,000th career point in the win for Southland (5-3 overall, 3-2 Three Rivers).

“It was a good win to go down there and beat Cotter,” Southland head coach Russ Foster said. “That’s tough to do. McKenzie played really good in the second half.”
