Anyone missing the good old days of high school pep band will have an opportunity to catch up and play loud Friday.

Alumni and friends of Austin High School band are invited to a special pep band performance on Friday as the AHS girls basketball team hosts Albert Lea.

Last year, several dozen alumni of all ages and abilities joined the high school pep band for a special night of music and Packer spirit. Alumni and guests should meet in the band room of the AHS Annex at 6:15 p.m.

Band director Bradley Mariska said guests are welcome whether they graduated seven months ago or 70 years ago.

AHS band shirts will be available for purchase for $10, otherwise people can come decked out in Austin Packer gear. Music will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring their own instrument.
