The buzz on spelling; Local spelling bees kicked off Thursday

Henry Hinchcliffe spells a word in the first round. Fifth- and sixth-grade spelling bees have been postponed until Wednesday, Jan. 14, due to the weather on Jan. 7.
It’s that time of year again as schools began holding their spelling bees. Ellis Middle School seventh- and eighth-graders had their spelling bee Thursday.
