ST. CLOUD — Attorneys will begin questioning potential jurors in the Stearns County trial for a man accused of killing a Mendota Heights police officer.

Nearly 100 prospective jurors filled out questionnaires Monday and listened to the judge talk about their responsibilities if chosen. Individual potential jurors will be questioned by lawyers beginning Tuesday.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says that unlike past court appearances in which Brian Fitch was heavily restrained and brought to the courtroom in a wheelchair, the defendant walked in under his own power and greeted the potential jurors Monday.
