Mower County drinks were served to country music stars last November. Now the drinks are about to be served to movie stars.

Four Daughters Vineyard & Winery, one of Minnesota’s largest winery, announced its wines will be featured and served at a party during this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The annual film festival, held in Utah on Jan. 22 through Feb. 1, attracts more than 46,000 attendees and is one of the largest independent film festivals in the United States.

“We are so honored that the event organizers thought of us this year,” co-owner Vicky Vogt said in a press release. “It’s exciting to see Minnesota wines garnering national attention like this. We can’t wait to be at Sundance and introduce them to the wines that our winery guests already love.”

In November, Four Daughters’ Loon Juice hard cider was served at Universal Music Group’s after party following the 47th Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.

Four Daughters Vineyard & Winery, located west of Grand Meadow on the edge of Mower County, will send a variety of wines, including its Big Boy Blend, Moscato, Marquette and Chad’s Folly.

“These four wines have been extremely popular with our guests, which include visitors around the state, as well as around the world due to our close proximity to the Mayo Clinic and Hormel,” winemaker Justin Osborne said in the release.

“We are extremely proud of these wines and can’t wait to serve them to such a large group,” he added.

Winery representatives were also invited to the Sundance party to be on hand and talk about the Minnesota wine. Winery workers will chronicle their time at Sundance on their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/4daughterswine.

The Sundance Film Festival was founded by Sterling Van Wangenen and actor-director Robert Redford, who played the Sundance Kid in the 1969 classic “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”
