The masons tallied about 220 hours ringing bells for the Salvation Army for the 2014 campaign, resulting in $10,700 that was collected at the HyVee store in Austin on Fridays and Saturdays. This amount was matched, as was the $4,100 collected by members of the Austin Shrine Club on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, by Minnesota Masonic Charities to bring in a total $28,900. This year, AFP Minnesota Chapter recognized Minnesota Masonic Charities as 2014’s Outstanding Philanthropic Organization, an award previously given to such notable organizations as  Wells Fargo Foundation Minnesota, Target, Cargill and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
