Duplicate Bridge

Tournament results for Jan. 14 with four tables played: First place, Gene Domino and Rick Stroup; second place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters; third place Eunice Michaelis and Warren Behrends; fourth place, James Fisher and Bud Higgins.

Duplicate Bridge is played each Wednesday at noon at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin. All Bridge players are welcome. Call Dave Ring at 507-434-4189.

 Golden Age Club

Hazel Baldner turned over the business of the club to new officers.

Everett DeYoung conducted the months meeting on Jan. 14. The regular meeting date on Jan. 7 was canceled due to the cold weather and the flu situation.

Chaplain Elaine Reynolds read “God Gives Me Time,” a meaningful presentation.

Minutes of the Dec. 3, 2014 meeter were read by secretary, Sylvia Ginder. Dues of $3 are due for the year. Treasurer Ruth Van Hooser reported a balance of $412.28.

Sally Michels made the motion, seconded by del Srsen, to accept the secretary and treasurer’s report as read. Lunch was served by Vernon and Sylvia Grinder.

Cards were played at nine tables. There were two January birthdays: Emma Heimer and Jerry Downing. There were no anniversaries.

It was reported that Dee Murphy has moved to Our House Living.

Anyone 55 or older are welcome to join.
