Austin Bruins forward Trevor Boyd was named NAHL Central Division Star of the Week Monday.

Thanks to a weekend home-and-home sweep of the Minnesota Magicians, the Austin Bruins moved back into first place in the Central Division this past week. Veteran forward Boyd, 20, was a force during the two wins as the native of Muskegon, Michigan, totaled four points in the two wins and was also a +4.

On Friday, Boyd had two assists in a 6-0 win in Minnesota against the Magicians and on Saturday, Boyd scored twice, including the game-winning goal in a 3-1 win. For the season, Boyd leads the Bruins in scoring so far this year with 37 points in 43 games played. He also leads the club with 117 penalty minutes.
