“He has been an active member of the Southeast Minnesota Drug Task Force and a good friend,” Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi said. “He will be missed.”

Richard P. Cummings, 1st District Mower County Commissioner and chairman of the county board, praised Farnum’s law enforcement work for Mower County and wished him a happy retirement on behalf of the Mower County Board and Farnum thanked him.

“Thank you” was all the long-time popular investigator would say Tuesday at the retirement ceremony. Farnum had no other comment but to express his appreciation to the county board for the retirement gesture.
