The Austin volleyball team (10-7 overall, 3-2 Big Nine) fought off a tough effort in a victory over Century by scores of 25-15, 26-24, 22-25, 25-21 in Rochester Tuesday.

The Packers cruised in the first game, but found the last two wins to be a bigger challenge. Austin took an 11-1 lead to start the second game, but had to hold on for a 26-24 win.

“We weren’t doing anything a whole lot different, but Century moved some people around and started blocking and hitting halfway through the second game,” Austin head coach Darica Schneider said. “From that game on it was point for point.”
