AUSTIN — A missing 17-year-old boy from Albert Lea has been found, according to police.

Netza Banuelos was located Monday morning in the city after spending some time in Austin and Rochester, according to an Albert Lea Police Department news release sent out Monday morning. He reportedly returned on his own free will.

Police asked the public to help find the teenager on Sunday after receiving a report on Saturday that he had last been seen one to two weeks ago. Police stated he was initially believed to have traveled to Austin on his own but could have been in either Austin or Rochester.

They released his photo and physical description and asked for anyone who may have seen him to call the Police Department.

He was not believed to have been in danger.

Details about why the teenager left or what he might have been doing in Austin and Rochester have not been released.
