Geraldine Marie Sturm, 87, of Austin, Minnesota, went into the loving arms of her Savior on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield, Minnesota.

Gerri was born on Aug. 27, 1927, in West Concord, Minnesota, to Harry and Pearl (Freeman) Parker. She graduated from Dodge Center, Minnesota, and attended North Central Bible College where she met and married her husband A.D. (Arlo) Sturm of almost 68 years. They entered into the ministry and traveled on the evangelistic field and then pastoral duties. Later, they were part of Christian Radio ministry (Lifetime). She was a devoted wife and mother. Geraldine loved Christian music and played and sang whenever she could be a blessing. She had a heart for children evangelism in her early years traveling giving kids crusades.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents Pearl and Harry Parker; her beloved mother and father-in-law, Beatrice and John Sturm; and also by her sisters: Harriet Frances, Virginia Engelman and Frances Wikre.

Gerri is survived by her husband, A.D. (Arlo) Sturm, Austin, Minnesota; her four children: Larry Sturm, Norman, Oklahoma, Dwight Sturm, Austin, Minnesota, Rhonda J. (Gordon) Mondt, Austin, Minnesota, and Craig Sturm, Austin, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Eric (Lynda) Runnels, Bend, Oregon, Robyn (Justin) Dobbs, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Matthew (Kayla) Sturm, Austin, Minnesota; four great-grandchildren: Madison and Gavin Dobbs, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Landon and Leah Sturm, Austin, Minnesota; sister Mary Ella Westerman, of Tennessee; and nieces and nephews.

Geraldine was dearly loved and will be missed deeply.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Rev. David Harms officiating. Visitation will be at the mortuary for one hour before the service on Friday morning. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont, Minnesota.
