Get out and enjoy a good meal and the arts this weekend with a fish fry, a theater performance and some good music. With temperatures warming up, there’s hope to have fun under the sun this weekend.

1. Brownsdale Fish Fry

4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Brownsdale Fire Station

Come enjoy a tasty meal in Brownsdale this weekend with a fish fry. Adults cost $10, children 12 and under are $7. Kids’ hotdog meals are available, and the meals will offer baked potato, cole slaw, beans and coffee, milk or lemonade.

2. ‘Three Fairy Godmothers,’ Matchbox Children’s Theatre

7 to 9 p.m. Friday, 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Historic Paramount Theatre

Since three fairy godmothers refused to retire after 800 years, they set off without their magic wants to help chivalrous Prince Royal overcome the evil witch Barabela and win the hand of the feisty princess.

This encore comedy mixes in elements of suspense as the devious witch races against the clock to keep the three good-hearted but sometimes ineffective fairy godmothers from destroying her ambitions plans. 3. Sacred Heart School Annual Rummage Sale

8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sacred Heart School, 412 W. Main St., Adams

There will be many items for sale with a $2 bag sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Purchase a bag and fill it with all the items it can hold.

4. Rose Creek Fire Department Meal

4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Rose Creek Fire Hall

The Rose Creek Fire Department will serve its sandwich meal Saturday at the Rose Creek fire hall.

5. Music at the Bank: Brian Laidlaw and the Family Trade

7:30 to 10:30 p.m., Saturday, ArtWorks Center

Brian Laidlaw and the Family Trade is a Twin Cities ensemble — a messy folk orchestra featuring Greg Byers on cello, Becky Gaunt on fiddle, Ashley Hanson on ukulele, Sean Geraty on drums andTim Harlan-Marks on bass — doing their best to combine elements of a stadium rock show with elements of a campfire singalong. Tickets cost $5 at the door.

6. The Best of Riverland Alumni Shows

7:30 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Frank W. Bridges Theatre, RCC Austin

Celebrate in song with favorite moments at Riverland Music and Theatre Aumni Shows, featuring shows from 1998-2011. Featured alumni Brad Weber will be joined by other singers and instrumentalists to provide an evening of entertainment with favorite songs from shows such as “Evita,” “The Producers,” “Chess,” “Into the Woods,” and many more.
