Thomasine Loretta “Tommie” Farnsworth, 86, died March 31, 2015, at Hester Care Center. She was born Sept. 1, 1928, in Austin, Minnesota, to Stephen and Catherine (Cassady) Lickteig.

Tommie was a Christian woman of great faith who spent her life spreading her Lord’s word. She was involved in foreign missionary work for over 40 years, with so many brought to the faith through her kind hand and compassionate heart. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who left a great legacy of faith, hope, and love.

She married Francis Farnsworth on April 28, 1947, in Austin, Minnesota. He died Nov. 17, 1993.

Survivors include sons: Robert Farnsworth and wife Linda, Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Brad Farnsworth and wife Gina, Brownsburg, Indiana; daughters: Diane Brick and husband Edward, Neoga, Illinois, Cathy Patterson, Yukon, Oklahoma, Mary Schulte and husband Ken, Hutchinson, Kansas; 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; 10 brothers; and four sisters.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501, with the Rev. James Francis presiding. Burial will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2015, in Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
