The Austin baseball team committed some untimely errors and it stranded too many runners as it lost 5-4 at Mankato East (1-1 overall, 1-1 Big Nine) Monday.

The Packers (0-3 overall, 0-3 Big Nine) stranded 10 runners on base and they allowed two unearned runs in the loss.

“When you give teams four outs per inning, they’re going to score,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said.

The Packers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third inning, but they couldn’t hang on.
