Southland softball team gets its first win

The Southland softball team picked up its first win of the season when it beat Rushford-Peterson (0-8 overall) 5-2 in Rose Creek Thursday.
The Rebels (1-5 overall) trailed 2-0 after the first inning, but they came back to win it. Sam Emanuel struck out six and allowed just four hits to get the win.
“We fought back and every inning we had runners on base. That was huge,” Southland head coach Greg Schulte said.
